Meet Jitendra Vaswani is a digital marketing practitioner and international keynote speaker currently living a digital nomad lifestyle. He is the founder of kickass internet marketing blog BloggersIdeas.com where he has interviewed marketing legends like Neil Patel and Rand Fishkin.
Jitendra is the author of the bestselling book, “Inside A Hustler’s Brain: In Pursuit of Financial Freedom” which has sold over 20,000 copies, worldwide. His ultimate goal is to help people build sustainable and profitable businesses and make them realize that dreams do come true if you stay driven.

Cloudways: Hi Jitendra, let’s start with a conventional question: Who is Jitendra Vaswani? What’s his story?
Jitendra Vaswani: It is not something like an overnight success story. I was pushed down many times by society but I decided to show a positive attitude and I managed to achieve my “laptop lifestyle”.
Cloudways: You started with a $100/ month job and then helped yourself become a successful entrepreneur. How did all this happen?
Jitendra Vaswani: I started my digital marketing journey in 2012 while working with a startup as an SEO, and I started at a very low salary. I wasn’t interested in programming, so I was very much disheartened. My family always wanted me to be a coder, but I hated it.
Suddenly, I developed an interest in SEO and link building, and from that point, my life took a huge turn. I did a job for 2.5 years and then finally started my first blog, BloggersIdeas.com and the rest is history.
In my first book, I have described everything about my journey. From there, I never looked back, and I started focusing on building a solid personal brand.
Cloudways: What is the contribution and importance of Bloggers Ideas for people looking for passive income?
Jitendra Vaswani: Through my blog, my ultimate goal is to help people start their journey in online marketing, but only a few people have the desire to sacrifice and show commitment to success.
I have conducted a number of interviews with marketing legends like Neil Patel, Rand Fishkin, Oli Gardener, and many more to inspire people to make money online. But there are only a few people who take action and turn themselves into millionaires.
Cloudways: What is one key thing that you want new entrants in Affiliate Marketing to do? And what is the one you want them to refrain from?
Jitendra Vaswani: I would advise them to focus on a single niche, and create effective content for that. I see newbies entering into the affiliate marketing arena just for the sake of making money. I know money triggers motivation, but if your content doesn’t provide any value to the users, nobody is going to buy through your affiliate link.
Secondly, I want youngsters to refrain from working with affiliate programs that offer poor tracking system because they can lead to unprecedented loss of sales big time.
When I started as an affiliate, I didn’t know much about tracking. But when I gained some experience in affiliate marketing, I realized that some affiliate programs which I had joined were shaving my sales, and I lost a huge chunk of money as an affiliate. Cloudways: Which project of yours do you admire the most, BloggersIdeas or Technoven, and why?
Jitendra Vaswani: I sold technoven.com a long time back in a five-figure private deal:), BloggersIdeas has given me a life I never thought of. Bloggersideas is like my baby, and I have got many offers to sell it, but I never thought of selling it, until I have other business priorities in my life. As of now, I have a team of 25 people working with me and helping me run this blog smoothly.
Through BloggersIdeas, I have been able to make my brand and got speaking deals, and of course, got a handsome and sustainable business out of it. My family never believed I will make money online, but I have proved everyone wrong. Through this blog, I managed to invest in real estate and started other businesses as well.
Cloudways: What events would you like to recommend affiliate marketers to attend? Do you have any personal favorites that you never miss out on?
Jitendra Vaswani: There are a number of events that are now solely dedicated to the affiliate marketing niche. In the near future, I will be conducting interactive sessions where I will share my experience about making money online, and how to live a digital nomad lifestyle.

Cloudways: Being an affiliate marketer, how running targeted paid campaigns has helped you achieve success within an already competitive industry?
Jitendra Vaswani: I have been working with Google ads for one year now as an affiliate, and I have been able to make money with it.
I had spent $250 on one of my PPC campaigns for AliDropship, and I managed to make more than $600 out of it. I also made some extra bucks with SEO.
Check out the screenshot of AliDropship campaign below. You can see that I had targeted different countries for this campaign to see which countries provide me with maximum ROI. The point to understand here is that segmentation plays an important role in building your campaigns.
One little secret that I would like to share: when I was conducting the above-mentioned campaign, I asked them for special coupon code to help me generate conversions.
Therefore, if you are running an Adwords campaign, ask advertisers for special promo deal, as it will increase your conversion rates. I have tested this strategy during different campaigns and it has worked out well, because the users like to buy more when they get a discount.
Cloudways: Let’s step away from work. What do you do to relax and unwind?
Jitendra Vaswani: Travelling works like a medicine for me. I mostly travel to Asian countries. Currently, I am spending my time in Thailand. To me, it is like a second home. It is a peaceful country to live and meet digital nomads.
In Chiang Mai, a city located in the North of Bangkok, you will find a lot of nomads, who can help you learn new hacks in SEO and affiliate marketing.
Cloudways: Whom do you consider your best buddies in the affiliate marketing industry?
Jitendra Vaswani: I genuinely believe in keeping friends with my affiliate business partners. There are a lot of good people, with whom I have developed trust and friendship. Sorry, I cannot name them here, due to privacy.
Cloudways: With so much on your plate to offer, what is the next milestone you are aiming for?
Jitendra Vaswani: I am aiming to scale my Google Adwords affiliate business. Currently, I am doing a lot of testing with Google ads and trying to find out the winning offers. Also, I am attending mastermind to learn new concepts in affiliate marketing.

Jitendra Vaswani: To be honest, I don’t have any fixed workplace. I work from Starbucks most of the time, as I am a digital nomad. I don’t want to have a fixed place. But this is one of the pictures when I used to have a workplace.
